All birds shown have injuries that prevent their return to the wild and are residents of the center. \nYou can also get outside to view live birds in the wild* up close through a viewing scope by visiting the viewing stations on site at nearby Blaine Marine Park\, Blaine Jorgensen Pier\, Semiahmoo Park and Semiahmoo Parkway birding shelter on Saturday during the festival. Maps are available at the Birding Expo. *The birds most seen at the viewing stations are waterfowl\, however it isn’t unusual to see an eagle or other raptor species!

DESCRIPTION:Storytelling & Kite Making\, by Ron Snyder & Cathy Taggett\nSaturday\, March 19- On the Hour from 10 AM- 3 PM\nWhere: Tent located outside of the Blaine Community Pavilion\, 635 8th Street\, Blaine\nSpace is limited\, masks are required for ages 5 and up in the tent. \nCost: Free \nStoryteller\, Ron Snyder will tell a 10-minute interactive story with the theme of an Eagle\, followed by artist Cathy Taggett leading a bird inspired kite-making activity for up to 10 kids. Ron will also demonstrate Native American whistle making from bird bones\, and share artifacts depicting the Native American people’s relationship to the animal people and the environment.\nSponsored by Blaine-Birch Bay Parks and Rec\, Dist. 2 \nStoryteller\, Ron Snyder is a retired principal from a Seattle Alternative School where his wife. Cathy Taggett was also an art teacher. They have created and participate in a wide variety of projects enhancing our community. They own The Circle of Trees Studio and Homestead just outside of Blaine.
