SUMMARY:Birding the Fourth Corner\, Wildlife Presentation by Joe Meche
DESCRIPTION:Birding the Fourth Corner Presentation with Joe Meche\nSaturday\, March 14\, 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm\nWhere: Blaine Community Center\, 763 G Street\, Blaine\nCost: Free\, No registration required. \nIf you look at a map of the United States\, you’ll see the geographical four corners of the country. The first corner to be colonized/settled was the Northeast\, followed by the Southeast and Southwest. The last of the four corners is the Northwest…the place we call home. It was almost a case of saving the best until last! \nThe Fourth Corner boasts some of the country’s most scenic areas as well as an amazing variety of wildlife. Under the broad umbrella of wildlife is the phenomenal number of birds that are either resident species or migrants stopping by on their seasonal movements. \nPerfectly tucked away in the Fourth Corner is this beautiful area where we live\, snug against the Canadian border with riches beyond compare. Included in those riches are our birds. Joe will show\, through his stunning photography\, the many bird species that are here on full display during the fall and winter months leading up to spring and the Wings Over Water celebration. \nJoe Meche is an avid birder\, photographer\, and writer and has been birding the 4th Corner since 1977 and continues to be awed by the many birds that are here!
